SCFA announces Week 2 Players of the Week

The Southern California Football Association is proud to announce its second Players of the Week for the 2022 season. 

PLAYERS OF THE WEEK (Click to view complete list/nominations)

Co-Offensive: Adam Urena, Citrus (QB, 5-8, 170, So., Chino Hills, CA/Chino Hills HS)
Urena threw six touchdowns while completing 22 of 33 passes for 276 yards with no interceptions to lift the Owls over Grossmont College.

Co-Offensive: Malik Norman, West LA (RB, 5-6, 187, Fr., Los Angeles, CA/Hamilton HS)
Norman ran for 256 yards on 24 carries, averaging over 10 yards per attempt. He ran in for touchdowns of 20 and 38 yards. He also had 2 receptions for 27 yards.

Defensive: Lando Brown, El Camino (LB, 5-11, 230, So., Gardena, CA/Junipero Serra HS)
Brown led the El Camino defense with nine total tackles (five solo), recorded three quarterback sacks and tallied four tackles for a loss while also recovering a fumble in the Warriors' 30-20 victory over Bakersfield.

Special Teams/All-Purpose: Daniel Burke, Moorpark (K, 6-1, 170, Fr., Yokosuka, Japan/Nikle C Kinnick HS)
Burke nailed a 37-yard field goal with 50 seconds left in game to tie it. Then 49 seconds later, kicked a 36-yard field goal to win the game with no time left on the clock to beat Santa Ana College. He also was 4/4 with extra points in the game helping put a total of 10 points on the board for the Raiders.
